I. Job Overview


The Senior Director of Global Market Strategy is responsible for developing and coordinating the company's global market entry strategy, growth path, and regional business layout. Through macro-market analysis, competitive landscape assessment, and cross-regional resource integration, this role drives the company's sustained growth and strategic goals in key international markets.


This position typically reports directly to the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), or Regional CEO, and leads the global market strategy team.


II. Core Responsibilities


1. Global Market Strategic Planning

Formulate the company's global and key regional (North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, etc.) market growth strategies.

Identify high-potential markets, industry opportunities, and emerging business growth points.

Construct medium- to long-term market entry (GTM) and expansion paths.


2. Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence

Continuously track global macroeconomic trends, industry trends, and policy changes.

Establish a competitor analysis system and output strategic insight reports.

Assess the commercial feasibility and return on investment in different markets.


3. Regional Business Coordination and Implementation

Collaborate with regional business teams to promote the implementation of strategies.

Optimize global resource allocation and improve cross-regional collaboration efficiency.

Support the formulation of localized market strategies (pricing, channels, product adaptation).


4. Growth Strategy and Business Model Design

Design global growth models and revenue forecasting frameworks.

Drive new market entry strategies (joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, cooperation, etc.).

Support major business projects and strategic investment decisions.


5. Senior Management Reporting and Strategic Communication

Regularly report global market performance and strategic recommendations to senior management

Provide strategic analysis support to the board of directors and investors

Lead global strategic meetings and cross-departmental decision-making mechanisms


III. Job Requirements


Education Background

Bachelor's degree or above, MBA or international business school background preferred

Specialization: Economics, Finance, Strategic Management, International Trade or related fields


Work Experience

25+ years of experience in strategic planning, market strategy, or management consulting

Experience in multinational corporations (MNCs) or global business is preferred

At least 15+ years of senior management or regional leadership experience

Background in consulting firms (e.g., McKinsey, Bain, BCG) is preferred
