Responsibilities
- Identify and influence strategic initiatives across global Defense customers by sharing expertise on application of (Oracle) technology across the full spectrum of Defense and Security activity.
- Use expertise of Operational experience in combined (allied) and joint operations (multi-domain) to enhance customer centricity in all Defense engagements.
- Articulate commercial technology application across Defense and broader procurement pathway and future capability development fora (partners).
- Demonstrate best in class industry engagement with Defense.
- Articulate the best industry / government technical capabilities and how these have been integrated across the US and Allied mission.
- Build and extend relationships with clients within the leading Defense & Security organizations, be capable to connect with client executives in multiple functions and roles.
- Work closely with Oracle Sales leads to identify and develop opportunities in the strategic Defense & Security Industry clients.
- Lead in developing the go-to-market strategy with the Client Directors.
- Drive larger bids of higher quality to increase penetration in the Defense Industry Strategic Clients.
- Support multi-LOB bid and engagement teams with senior experts from sales, pre-sales, consulting, and solution architecture to help shape and drive the largest technology opportunities.
- Identify, create and lead strategic engagements with the most strategic Defense & Security clients and deliver increased client satisfaction and better opportunities for Oracle.
- Prepare and delivers thought-provoking executive proposals to engage customers in long-term business relationships.
- Multi-disciplined: continually evolve & innovate to bring new ideas for investment and areas of potential to the table.
- Facilitate cross-functional discovery sessions to identify and prioritize key business value drivers.
- Author thought leadership content on cloud benefits, industry solutions, and other relevant subjects."
- Act as a Global Defense subject matter expert in account planning sessions and quarterly business reviews.
- Define and create specific collateral and thought leadership pieces including white papers, data sheets, and social media posts on how Oracle delivers value in Defense.
- Have a mind-set of ‘The Customer defines their success’ - bond over their problems not our solutions.
- Act as key source of market insights into how our clients operate and into client decision making.
- Demonstrate outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills; exceptional ability to structure complex problems, develop hypotheses, and present well-supported solutions.
- Many years experience in leading organizations with a dedicated focus on the Defense & Security Industry, e.g. the military, Management Consulting, Systems Integrator firms or leading Defense & Security organisations.
- Large transformational projects or change programs ideally directing multinational and inter-agency special operations missions: Credible Combined and Allied Operational experience.
- Understanding of Defense strategy formulation and operational planning.
- Experience of Defense Capability development and procurement policy.
- Ideally, understanding of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure; Dedicated Region (DRCC) and Oracle National Security Regions (ONSR) would be advantageous.
- Passionate about enabling digital solutions and cloud within the industry boundaries and pushing the limits towards next levels of technology adoption.
- Flexibility and the ability to influence. Action-oriented with passion for fast movement but understanding the need for exceptional quality.
- Able to gain trust and credibility operating at CxO or Head of BU stakeholder level.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret market data.
- Very strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to orchestrate and collaborate with diverse team members and external parties.
- Ability to engage, support and motivate virtual teams and to oversee a variety of work streams simultaneously.
- Outstanding oral and written presentation communication skills.
- Fluency in English is a must; an additional language would be beneficial.
- Deep experience with Defense organization and/or National Security.
- High level networks at MODs and/or National Security Agencies.
- Must have a local security clearance or the ability to get one quickly.
