Title: Senior Consultant / Senior Associate / Building Envelope Consultant
Locations: California, Texas, Colorado, Florida
Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 (depending on location and level of experience)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a full-time Senior Building Envelope Consultant to lead projects for new and existing buildings across the US. This senior-level role will manage projects, provide technical expertise, and serve as the primary client contact. Responsibilities include conducting enclosure analysis, design reviews, forensic investigations, and overseeing construction documentation and field testing.
Essential Functions:
- Lead and manage building envelope projects from investigation to construction administration.
- Perform condition assessments and forensic investigations using non-destructive and destructive testing.
- Conduct design reviews for constructability, durability, and waterproofing of foundation systems, walls, façades, and roofing assemblies.
- Oversee enclosure testing activities and perform testing when needed.
- Serve as the primary client contact, writing proposals, and managing project scopes and service fees.
- Coordinate with contractors, specialists, and clients, attending meetings and conferences as necessary.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Civil/Structural Engineering, or Construction Management.
- 10+ years of building envelope construction and consulting experience.
- Architecture or Civil/Structural Engineering background preferred.
- Strong knowledge of building enclosure systems, waterproofing, and construction standards (ASTM & AAMA).
- Experience developing construction documents, technical specifications, and inspection reports.
- Excellent communication and client management skills.
- Credentials in roofing and building enclosure systems are a plus.
