Senior Backend Developer (Node.js/TypeScript)
We are looking for a skilled Senior Backend or Fullstack Developer to join our agile development team. Both contract-based consultants (immediate availability) and permanent positions (on-site) are relevant. You have solid experience with Node.js and TypeScript, and a strong understanding of AWS cloud services, particularly in building and deploying serverless architectures.
You’re familiar with database technologies, event-driven systems, and the broader landscape of cloud-native development. Experience with DevOps practices in AWS (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, monitoring) is a strong plus.
You thrive in a collaborative environment and are comfortable working in agile teams, participating in daily standups, sprint planning, and iterative development cycles.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Backend Developer at Arratech, you will play a central role in building and maintaining robust, scalable backend API and services using Node.js and TypeScript. You will work within a modern, serverless AWS infrastructure, helping shape and evolve the architecture and delivery of our SaaS platforms.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing, implementing and maintaining secure, well-documented, and maintainable APIs and services using Node.js/TypeScript within a serverless architecture (e.g., AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3).
- Participating in system architecture and design discussions, helping define technical direction and best practices for scalable cloud-native applications.
- Collaborating closely with product managers, frontend developers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality features and continuous improvement through agile workflows (sprint planning, standups, retrospectives).
- Writing automated tests and ensuring code quality through CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and monitoring practices.
- Contributing to infrastructure-as-code setups (e.g., AWS CDK or CloudFormation) and improving deployment and observability practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional backend or fullstack development experience
- Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript
- Experience designing and deploying serverless components on AWS
- Strong knowledge of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) and event-based architectures
- Familiarity with agile workflows and team collaboration tools
Nice to have
- DevOps experience in AWS (e.g., CloudFormation/CDK, CI/CD, observability)
- Frontend experience with modern JavaScript frameworks
- Interest in or experience with API standards and secure integrations
