About the Opportunity
We are building an exclusive network of senior European policy experts, geopolitical strategists, and public officials to provide critical, high-level insights on a flexible, project-basis, to support Chinese enterprises investing in Europe.
This is not a commercial compliance or operational consulting role. We do not focus on post-legislative corporate compliance. Instead, we operate at the pre-legislative, policy-formulation, and strategic-anticipation level. We are seeking distinguished professionals with firsthand experience in the "inner workings" of European governance to help our partners decode political intentions, anticipate regulatory shifts, and foster constructive high-level dialogue..
Key Advisory Areas
As a Senior Advisor, you will contribute your unique, on-the-ground expertise to discrete, confidential, and high-level advisory projects on a flexible basis. Your input will focus on:
- Macro-Policy and Geopolitical Foresight: Deciphering policy shifts within EU institutions (the European Commission, Council, and Parliament) and key Member State capitals (Berlin, Paris, Rome, The Hague)
- Pre-Legislative Intelligence: Providing early-stage assessments of upcoming European regulations, tech-standardization initiatives, and bilateral trade policies before they are set in stone.
- Strategic Stakeholder Mapping & Connectivity: Identifying key institutional actors, policy-shapers, and influential industry alliances. Where appropriate, facilitating structural dialogue and introductions to high-level institutional and regional stakeholders.
- Actionable Policy Predictions: Bypassing standard academic theories to deliver realistic, original, and pragmatic analyses of how geopolitical dynamics will practically manifest in European market-access policies.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for seasoned professionals who have developed their careers inside the European policy-making machinery or at its immediate periphery. Our ideal advisors are:
- Former or Current Public Officials / Policy Makers: Alumni or active professionals from EU institutions (e.g., DG Trade, DG GROW, DG COMP, EEAS) or national ministries (e.g., Ministries of Economic Affairs, Foreign Affairs, or Trade & Industry across key European states).
- Diplomatic and Trade Agency Alumni: Former attachés, trade commissioners, or strategic advisors from national trade-and-investment promotion agencies (e.g., GTAI, Business France, Business Sweden, Netherlands Enterprise Agency).
- Leadership from Key Trade Associations & Think Tanks: Senior directors or policy heads from influential Brussels-based industry coalitions (e.g., BusinessEurope, DigitalEurope) or premier policy research institutions (e.g., Bruegel, CEPS, ECIPE).
- Deep Institutional Memory: An insider’s understanding of how European consensus is built, how national interests clash or align within the Council, and how geopolitical friction translates into economic policy.
- Active high-level network: Well-established, respected connections within public administrations, regional authorities, and key regulatory bodies.
Role Details & Benefits:
- 100% Remote & Flexible: Work from anywhere and contribute to discrete projects on your own schedule.
- Project-based Collaboration: Engage in specific, defined advisory projects without the commitment of a full-time role.
- Competitive Compensation: Receive attractive, expert-level remuneration based on the project scope and your contributions.
- High-Impact Work: Your insights will directly influence the strategic decisions of major international companies.
