Senior Account Manager, Team Lead
We're seeking a Senior Account Manager, Team Lead to manage key healthcare client relationships while leading a team of 7–8 Account Managers. Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a team of 7–8 Account Managers, providing day-to-day guidance, coaching, and performance management
- Drive team performance by setting clear goals, tracking key metrics, and ensuring accountability for client retention and revenue growth
- Manage client relationships by overseeing escalations, supporting resolution strategies, and facilitating regular account health and pipeline reviews
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (Product, Finance, Legal, etc.) to align on client needs and strategic initiatives
- Optimize processes by developing scalable workflows, documentation standards, and best practices for account management
- Report and advise senior leadership on team performance, client trends, and resource needs through data-driven insights
- Foster a strong team culture focused on collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; minimum of 5 years in account management and 3 years in a leadership or managerial role
- Healthcare Industry Knowledge: Experience in medical billing or healthcare-related environments preferred
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to coach, mentor, and lead teams effectively with a high level of initiative and accountability
- Performance Under Pressure: Strong ability to multi-task, stay composed in high-pressure situations, and thrive in a fast-paced setting
- Communication Excellence: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a professional, detail-oriented demeanor
- Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain collaborative relationships with clients and internal teams
- Analytical Thinking: Skilled in analyzing data and reports to inform strategic decisions, particularly in healthcare or billing contexts
- Tech Adaptability: Comfortable learning and applying new technologies to support client and team needs
- HIPAA Compliance: Understanding of and commitment to maintaining PHI/e-PHI confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards
- Travel Readiness: Ability to travel as needed, approximately 10–20% annually
