At Sobi, the work we do every day redefines the standards of care and transform the lives of people living with rare diseases.

As a diverse team of entrepreneurial people, we are passionate about our growth journey towards becoming a global leader, making a difference for rare disease patients, moving quickly and always challenging the status quo.

We are committed to an inclusive, sustainable and flexible workplace that fosters growth and development.

Job Description

Are you passionate about identity, access, and vulnerability management—and eager to make a real impact on how a modern organization secures its digital assets? We are looking for a Security Operations Specialist to drive our IAM and vulnerability management program; while also ensuring we work efficiently and strategically with our external Security Operations Center (SOC).

In this role, you will take ownership of our identity lifecycle processes, access governance, and privileged access models. You will also coordinate vulnerability management activities, ensuring risks are identified, prioritized, and remediated in collaboration with IT and business stakeholders. While our SOC manages the majority of alerting and threat hunting, you will act as the key interface—testing, validating, and continuously improving our partnership with the SOC.

Collaboration is at the heart of our team. You will work closely with colleagues across IT, HR, and business functions, while also being self-driven and capable of making independent decisions. If you are naturally curious about emerging cyber threats, identity governance, and vulnerability trends, we want to hear from you!

This position is based at our Global Headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden, reporting to the Head of Cyber Security & Network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identity & Access Management (IAM):
    • Lead and improve identity lifecycle processes, including provisioning, deprovisioning, and access reviews.
    • Design and enforce access governance models (least privilege, conditional access, privileged identity management).
    • Collaborate with HR, IT, and application owners to maintain accurate identity data and role mappings.
    • Support integration and maintenance of IAM tools and platforms (e.g., Azure AD, Entra ID, PAM solutions).
    • Conduct periodic access audits and contribute to compliance reporting.
    • Drive automation and efficiency in onboarding/offboarding and access management workflows.

  • Vulnerability Management:
    • Coordinate vulnerability scanning, assessment, and remediation activities.
    • Track and report on vulnerability status, risk levels, and remediation progress.
    • Work with IT and business teams to prioritize and address vulnerabilities based on risk.
    • Contribute to vulnerability management policy and process improvements.

  • SOC Partnership & Security Operations:
    • Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and the SOC, ensuring SOC services align with business needs.
    • Validate SOC alerts and outputs, escalate and follow up on incidents, and provide feedback to improve detection logic and workflows.
    • Test and challenge the SOC’s effectiveness through exercises, tuning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Coordinate with SOC and internal stakeholders during incident handling and post-incident reviews.

  • Policy, Compliance & Continuous Improvement:
    • Support enforcement of access control policies and identity governance.
    • Assist in audit preparation, evidence collection, and compliance reporting.
    • Participate in security awareness initiatives, reporting, dashboarding, and support for compliance frameworks (e.g., CIS18, NIS2).
    • Monitor threat, vulnerability, and IAM trends to recommend improvements.
Qualifications

About you

You are a proactive and analytical problem-solver with a strong passion for identity, access, and vulnerability management. You thrive in collaborative environments, communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and have a keen attention to detail. In our fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment, you take initiative and stay one step ahead of potential risks.

Key Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in IAM, vulnerability management, or security operations (preferably with Microsoft XDR/SIEM platforms).
  • Strong understanding of identity governance, access management, and privileged access models.
  • Experience with IAM tools (e.g., Azure AD, Entra ID, PAM solutions) and vulnerability management platforms.
  • Familiarity with SOC processes, incident response, and security monitoring.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • C1 (advanced) level of Swedish & English required.
  • Meriting: Experience with Microsoft Entra, ServiceNow, and automation of IAM/vulnerability processes.

Here at Sobi we live by our core values: Care, Ambition, Urgency, Ownership and Partnership!
