Scrum Master – Financial Services, Digital Assets, and Regulated Exchange

Bumba Global is building a regulated, compliance-first digital assets platform designed for serious participation across Brazilian and international markets.

We operate in an environment where product delivery cannot be separated from governance, operational rigor, regulatory awareness, financial controls, and execution quality. This is not a conventional Scrum Master role for someone focused only on agile ceremonies. We are looking for someone with the maturity, judgment, and operational depth to help teams deliver effectively in a business where trust, compliance, coordination, and control matter as much as speed.

We are seeking a high-caliber Scrum Master with strong experience in financial services, banking-related environments, and regulated delivery, ideally with exposure to digital assets, exchange infrastructure, payments, treasury workflows, or other operationally sensitive financial products.

This person will play an important role in helping the organization scale execution discipline across cross-functional teams, ensuring that engineering, product, compliance, operations, risk, finance, and leadership remain aligned as we build and deliver in a complex and highly accountable environment.

The ideal candidate understands that in regulated financial and digital asset businesses, delivery excellence is not simply about running sprint rituals or pushing for velocity.

This role is best suited to someone who has already operated in environments where there are real consequences to poor coordination, weak traceability, or execution gaps — such as banking, payments, brokerages, exchanges, capital markets, fintech infrastructure, or other regulated financial services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Scrum ceremonies and agile delivery routines with quality, discipline, and relevance to the business context.
• Drive delivery clarity across sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives, and day-to-day execution.
• Remove blockers quickly and proactively manage risks, dependencies, and cross-functional gaps before they affect outcomes.
• Help create a culture of execution discipline, transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Partner closely with engineering, product, compliance, treasury, operations, risk, finance, and leadership to ensure alignment across priorities and delivery constraints.
• Improve predictability, team effectiveness, and delivery quality in an environment with regulatory, operational, and financial complexity.
• Bring structure to initiatives involving digital assets, exchange operations, tokenization, crypto payments, staking, treasury-related processes, and integrations with financial infrastructure providers.
• Ensure teams are not only working efficiently, but also in a way that supports traceability, control, and readiness for regulated operations.
• Track delivery health, team capacity, sprint outcomes, execution bottlenecks, and dependency risks in a practical and structured way.
• Support leadership visibility into progress, trade-offs, risks, and delivery timelines across multiple initiatives and stakeholders.
• Continuously improve ways of working, team communication, estimation quality, and coordination between business, operational, and technical teams.

Required Background

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Lead, Delivery Manager, or equivalent role in banking, payments, brokerages, capital markets, fintechs, financial infrastructure, or other regulated financial environments.
• Strong practical experience in both Brazilian and international market contexts, with an understanding of how delivery complexity changes across regulatory and operational environments.
• Exposure to banking services, financial operations, settlement flows, reconciliation, treasury-related processes, or other controlled service environments.
• Strong command of Scrum and agile delivery practices, combined with the judgment to adapt them appropriately in complex real-world environments.
• Experience supporting teams working under meaningful compliance, governance, risk, audit, and operational control requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to improve execution quality in environments with multiple stakeholders, functional dependencies, and delivery pressure.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work credibly with both technical and non-technical teams, and to bring alignment where priorities, language, and constraints differ.
• Strong grasp of delivery metrics, execution tracking, and practical team performance management.

Strongly Preferred

• Experience in digital assets, crypto exchanges, tokenization, digital payments, custody, or digital asset infrastructure.
• Familiarity with treasury operations, liquidity workflows, settlement logic, and the operational relationship between product, engineering, and financial operations.
• Experience coordinating delivery involving banking integrations, BaaS providers, payment rails, or core financial infrastructure.
• Understanding of regulated and operational control requirements related to KYC, AML, sanctions, transaction monitoring, audit trails, reconciliations, and reporting obligations.
• Experience operating in environments where business, compliance, operations, finance, and engineering must remain tightly coordinated.
• Scrum certification or equivalent agile credentials are welcome, but practical operating experience in high-accountability environments matters more.
