- Responsible for pre-registration, scheduling, verifying insurance eligibility, and collecting patient financial responsibilities.
- Manage complex scheduled events, including high-cost tests and studies, to maximize patient flow and customer service.
- Initiate the overall patient experience and billing process for services provided by the hospital.
- Schedule complex facility-based ancillary testing across multiple facilities and states.
- Demonstrate proficiency in multiple scheduling systems and complex appointment scheduling processes.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Two (2) to five (5) years of experience in scheduling, financial clearance, or patient access.
- National certification in HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA required within one (1) year of hire.
- Proficiency in Patient Registration/Patient Accounting systems and related software.
- Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology and diagnostic procedural coding.
- Experience in insurance verification with the ability to explain benefits and secure necessary authorizations.
- Additional knowledge of complex diagnostic testing appointment scheduling processes.
