Session: Hardiness: The Hidden Pathway to Joy at Work

Some people seem naturally equipped with a growth-oriented stress response—they rise from setbacks, adapt quickly, and generate positive momentum even in challenging conditions. This is a measurement of their level of Hardiness. A key element of resilience that shapes whether we grow or get weighed down in the face of adversity.

Drawing from my chapter in the recently published book: Joy at Work: when women lead, this program highlights how developing hardiness not only strengthens performance but amplifies fulfillment, purpose, and joy in the workplace. When people feel in control, committed, and ready to embrace challenge, they not only succeed—they contribute to an environment where joy is present amidst adversity.

Key Takeaways

  • Learn how to connect resiliency as a tool for creating Joy in the workplace
  • Explore the 3-Cs of Hardiness: Challenge, Control, and Commitment
  • Gain tips for leveraging Hardiness as a productive response to stress
