We are seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to lead ABB’s Process Industries Mining business across North America. In this key leadership role, you will oversee a high-impact portfolio valued at $187 million, driving strategic growth and customer engagement across Canada, the U.S., and Mexico.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and grow the North American mining market by directing a high-performing sales team to meet and exceed orders received (OR) and gross margin (GM) targets.
- Define and execute short- and long-term strategic sales plans to enhance market penetration and increase ABB’s share of customer investment.
- Engage early and effectively with key stakeholders across end users, OEMs, and EPCMs to influence decision-making and position ABB as a trusted industry partner.
- Maintain a robust customer engagement cadence, including a minimum of four documented customer meetings per week.
- Direct key account strategies and complex proposal development in collaboration with proposal managers and market segment leaders.
- Utilize Salesforce to manage pipeline activity, monitor ABB’s positioning, and maintain up-to-date sales forecasts and intelligence.
- Support business development through the creation of application-specific collateral, participation in industry events, and execution of customer training and education initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in process industries (mining, metals, pulp and paper, aluminum, or cement) with a background in project sales, engineering, execution, or services.
- Strong knowledge of electrification, automation, and digitalization technologies within mining applications (e.g., grinding, hoisting, material handling, decarbonization).
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing complex sales processes and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with Salesforce, SAP, and financial/contractual systems; strong computer and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; fluency in French or Spanish is considered an asset.
