Sales Director, HLS & Defense (IC)


Our client is a fast-paced, fast-growing startup whose mission is to keep society protected from rapidly growing drone security threats. The company's systems are deployed worldwide, helping protect critical infrastructures, armies, and governments by detecting and neutralizing rogue drones using proprietary cyber technologies.


We are looking for a professional who will operate as the primary sales leader and individual contributor responsible for driving market expansion and revenue growth across strategic Western European territories (including the UK, France, Spain, and the Benelux region).


In this role, you will leverage your extensive experience within the Defense and Homeland Security (HLS) sectors to define and execute the regional sales strategy.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies tailored to achieve specific revenue and growth targets for the Western Europe territory.
  • Identify, sign, and manage strategic channels and partners, establishing a strong distribution network within the assigned territory.
  • Manage and grow relationships with key clients in international defense, HLS, and multidisciplinary product markets.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline, driving complex B2B opportunities from qualification through to successful closure.
  • Analyze local market trends and customer procurement behavior to proactively identify and capitalize on new sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with technical and product teams to ensure smooth and efficient delivery and implementation processes.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive, regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management.



Requirements:

  • MUST: 5+ years of direct sales experience within the HLS/Defense Products Industry or related multidisciplinary security products.
  • Proven ability to successfully develop and manage sales channels and key client relationships in complex, international B2B markets.
  • Professional working proficiency in English (required).
  • Knowledge of Spanish or French (a significant advantage for covering key markets).
  • Willingness to travel 50%+ of the time across the Western European territory.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze sales data and prepare clear, insightful reports and market assessments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (not strictly mandatory, but beneficial).
