About The Role

We are seeking a motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our sales team. This role focuses on a combination of outbound sales prospecting and inbound lead engagement to generate qualified sales leads and schedule discovery meetings with prospective clients. As an SDR, you’ll be instrumental in building our pipeline by identifying and engaging potential customers who can benefit from our HubSpot implementation and integration services.

This position offers a competitive base salary with performance-based commissions and bonuses, providing significant earning potential for high performers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Outbound Lead Generation:
    • Identify and research potential clients using tools like LinkedInand the HubSpot CRM suite to build a targeted prospect list
    • Execute high-volume outbound activities using AI-based platforms, including cold calls, personalized emails, and social outreach, to engage prospects
    • Qualify leads based on fit for 1406 Consulting’s HubSpot implementation and integration services
  • Lead Engagement & Qualification:
    • Initiate meaningful conversations with prospects to understand their business challenges and HubSpot-related needs
    • Use consultative questioning to assess prospect fit and document key details in the CRM (HubSpot)
    • Nurture early-stage leads to build interest and move them toward a sales-ready status
  • Scheduling Discovery Meetings:
    • Secure and schedule discovery meetings for Account Executives by coordinating with prospects and aligning with sales team calendars
    • Ensure meetings are set with decision-makers and that relevant background information is shared with the sales team
  • CRM Management & Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospect interactions and activities in HubSpot CRM
    • Provide regular updates on pipeline progress, lead quality, and outreach metrics to sales leadership
  • Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
    • Partner with sales and marketing teams to refine outreach strategies and messaging based on market feedback
    • Stay informed about HubSpot’s ecosystem and 1406 Consulting’s service offerings to effectively communicate value to prospects
Required Skills & Experience

  • 1+ years of experience in outbound sales, lead generation, or a similar B2B sales development role; OR relevant experience from internships, part-time roles, or university projects for recent college graduates (e.g., sales, marketing, or customer-facing roles)
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct outreach (e.g., cold calling, email campaigns, or social selling) with a focus on achieving measurable results, whether through professional or academic experiences
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage prospects, build rapport, and articulate value propositions clearly
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred) or a willingness to learn quickly
  • Comfortable researching and targeting prospects using tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, or similar platforms
  • Self-motivated, with a hunter mentality and a drive to succeed in a fast-paced, remote environment
  • Basic understanding of SaaS, CRM, or marketing technology solutions; familiarity with HubSpot is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a consulting, technology, or HubSpot-related sales environment
  • HubSpot Sales or CRM certifications
  • Knowledge of B2B sales processes and lead qualification frameworks (e.g., BANT, MEDDIC)
  • Prior success in scheduling discovery meetings with C-level or director-level decision-makers
