The Safety Physician is responsible for providing medical expertise across pharmacovigilance and clinical development activities, ensuring high quality safety evaluation and compliance with regulatory requirements. In this role, you will work independently while supporting cross functional teams with medically grounded decisions.
As part of our SRS FSP team, you will be dedicated to one sponsor, a global pharmaceutical or biotechnology company that is an industry leader within pediatric neurology.
This role is offered on a 0.2 FTE basis and can be based in Stockholm or performed remotely within Sweden.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform medical assessment of suspected adverse reactions
- Provide medical review and input to aggregate safety reports such as PSUR, PBRER and DSUR
- Review safety sections in study protocols and investigator brochures
- Contribute medical expertise to clinical study reports with a focus on safety
- Support regulatory documentation with medical input
- Review literature and contribute to signal detection activities
- Provide guidance on pharmacovigilance systems and processes
- Contribute to internal SOPs, tools, and training activities
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including participation in meetings when needed
Qualifications
- Medical Doctor degree
- At least 5 years of experience working as a Safety Physician
- Experience within clinical trials, ideally within neurology
- Background in pediatric neurology and or seizure disorders is considered a strong advantage
- Solid understanding of GCP, ICH guidelines and pharmacovigilance regulations
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic and evolving environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
