Role Responsibilities
- Interpret and apply federal regulations, policies, and compliance frameworks to sponsored research activities.
- Oversee post-award grant compliance, ensuring adherence to requirements from agencies such as NSF, NIH, and DoD.
- Respond to federal audits and inquiries by compiling documentation and preparing detailed responses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify compliance risks and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver training materials and guidance on federal grant compliance.
- Monitor regulatory updates and proactively adjust internal processes and controls.
- Communicate complex compliance findings clearly through written reports and verbal presentations.
- Strong experience in federal grant post-award management within agencies such as NSF, NIH, or DoD.
- Proven track record of managing federal audit responses in research or academic environments.
- Deep understanding of Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200) and federal compliance frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and collaborate effectively.
- Self-directed and comfortable working independently in a remote setting.
