Are you an experienced Field Service Engineer in the medical device space, looking to stay close to the action, but without the constant travel?
We’re hiring a Remote Field Service Engineer to join a pioneering surgical robotics company at the cutting edge of minimally invasive surgery. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring surgeons and hospital teams have real-time, expert support, often while surgery is in progress.
About the Role
- Provide real-time remote technical support to surgical teams during live procedures using our robotic surgical platform
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly, calmly, and confidently to avoid surgical disruption
- Act as the first point of contact for escalations from clinical teams and field engineers in the hospital
- Collaborate with in-house engineering and product teams to report issues, log data, and drive continuous improvement
- Use remote diagnostic tools to monitor system performance, conduct system checks, and support pre-op preparation
What We’re Looking For
- Previous field service engineering experience in medical devices (e.g., surgical systems, imaging, diagnostics, etc.)
- Strong technical problem-solving skills under pressure – ideally in OR or clinical environments
- Experience supporting complex electro-mechanical systems (robotics experience a plus)
- Confident communicator who can guide clinical teams during live procedures
- Fluent in Dutch and English (additional EU languages are a plus)
- Based in Netherlands with full work rights
