Position Summary
The Regional Supply Manager – Northeast plays a vital role in supporting efficient, safe, and high-quality green bean harvesting operations. This position works closely with cross-functional stakeholders to coordinate planting schedules, monitor crop development, manage field conditions, and support harvesting activities. The role requires strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, as well as a deep understanding of agricultural practices and harvest logistics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supplier Development & Relationship Management
- Identify and cultivate new regional growers and suppliers.
- Serve as primary liaison for assigned crop categories.
- Maintain ongoing performance oversight.
- Evaluate supplier capability, pricing, and quality compliance.
- Provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
- Execute approved contracts and ensure compliance.
- Develop and maintain rolling harvest outlooks.
- Coordinate supply volumes across multi-state regions.
- Align supplier harvest schedules with corporate demand forecasts.
- Assess pre-harvest field conditions.
- Review facility readiness and sanitation processes.
- Escalate potential food safety risks.
- Identify supply chain disruptions.
- Proactively secure alternate sourcing.
- Escalate issues impacting regulatory, quality, or financial exposure.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including Owners, Chief Global Supply Officer (CGSO), Global Procurement, Farm Managers, Farm Supply Managers, and Harvest Managers to ensure alignment and smooth execution of broccoli and green bean supply on the East Coast.
- Work with the CGSO and outside suppliers to assist in planning and maintaining green bean planting schedules, aligning with harvest needs and supply chain targets.
- Conduct regular assessments of broccoli and green bean fields from planting to harvest to identify any agronomic, food safety, or environmental issues.
- Maintain and forecast a 21-day harvest outlook and manage dynamic adjustments, assess crop maturity, estimate yields, and communicate any concerns related to quality or maturity in a timely manner.
- Monitor pre-harvest field conditions for food safety, weather impact, and environmental risks, escalating any concerns to appropriate teams.
- Coordinate harvest schedules with CGSO and CSO.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Plant Science, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in crop coordination, harvest operations, or farm management.
- Strong understanding of crop production, harvesting equipment, and farm safety practices.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed during harvest season.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic farm management software tools.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between field locations.
- A combination of outdoor agricultural settings and indoor office/workstation environments
- Regular presence in: Fields, greenhouses, or farm facilities; Packing sheds, coolers, and storage areas
- This position involves frequent travel to field sites and outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Frequent standing and walking on uneven terrain such as fields, gravel, dirt roads, and farm facilities
- Extended periods outdoors, requiring tolerance of varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, humidity, sun exposure)
- Physical stamina to work long hours during planting, harvesting, and peak supply seasons
- Walking long distances across farm sites and production areas
- Exposure to dust, pollen, insects, and plant materials
