Work Schedule: Standard business hours, with flexibility for business needs.

Compensation: $115-145K (BASE) + Bonus (OTE $145K - $190K)

Who You Are

As Regional Sales Manager, Beverage – at Recess, you will be responsible for managing distributor performance, driving retail execution, and building relationships with key customers across the Mountain West region. You’ll deliver against volume, share, and distribution targets while ensuring flawless execution of trade and promotional programs.


You are a driven sales professional with experience in distributor management, retail activation, and field sales leadership. You thrive on building strong relationships, solving problems, and delivering measurable results in the market.


This role is eligible to participate in our Sales Bonus Plan.


What You’ll Do…

  • Lead distributor management for assigned markets, ensuring alignment on execution priorities and sales objectives.
  • Drive distribution, display, and velocity KPIs across grocery, convenience, and mass channels.
  • Partner with national and regional account teams to ensure proper execution of Joint Business Plans (JBPs).
  • Conduct regular market visits, ride-alongs, and retail audits to monitor execution.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to distributor sales teams, ensuring compliance with Recess standards.
  • Manage retail activation of shopper marketing programs, POS, and promotional calendars.
  • Track regional sales performance and report results, opportunities, and risks to leadership.
  • Collaborate with Demand Planning to improve forecasting accuracy for the Mountain West region.
  • Represent Recess at distributor sales meetings and regional industry events.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key retailers, ensuring Recess has a leading presence on shelf.


What You Contribute

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • 5–7 years of CPG beverage sales experience, with distributor management responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of DSD systems and retail execution in beverages.
  • Proven track record of delivering distribution, display, and volume goals.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel; familiarity with syndicated data (IRI, Nielsen, SPINS) a plus.
  • Highly organized and results-driven with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel 50–60% within the Mountain West region.
