Core Responsibilities
Accounting and Closing: Orchestrate the month-end closing cycle for German, ensuring absolute reporting integrity and adherence to global schedules.
Regulatory Authority: Act as the lead for local statutory compliance, navigating the complexities of German GAAP with precision.
Tax Coordination: Partner with internal teams and external advisors to manage tax data flows, specifically focusing on VAT accuracy and collection.
SSC Coordination: Serve as the primary bridge between local business operations and our Global Shared Service Centers to drive consistency and timeliness.
Strategic Insight: Beyond the numbers, you will be a great partner to the business, providing financial clarity needed to support critical business decisions in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Who You Are
Technical Expert: You possess a deep understanding of German GAAP. Proficiency in US GAAP or IFRS.
Process Driven: You have a proven track record of owning the monthly close process in complex, multinational environments.
SSC Coordination: You are comfortable working alongside Shared Service Centers to achieve operational excellence.
Linguistic Capabilities: You are fully bilingual, with professional fluency in both English and German.
Foundational Excellence: A background in a Big 4 audit firm is strongly preferred.
