Regional Director – Northwest Europe
Location: Netherlands (with travel across NW Europe)
Language Requirements: Fluent in Dutch, with strong German and English
The sectors we are in: Waste industry and the renewables sector; manufacturing of biofuels and circular chemicals.
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an entrepreneurial and commercially tough leader to be P&L responsible for two businesses in the Netherlands and to spearhead the development of a market-defining end-of-life tyre collection and processing business across Northwest Europe.
The three responsibilities are:
- To build a new end-of-life tyre (ELT) collection and processing business
- A new developing waste to circular chemical plant which is planned to grow in the next few years to €60m EBITDA
- An existing waste tyre collection and processing business which is circa €25m revenues
The remit includes developing a fully integrated tyre waste supply chain across the Netherlands, Belgium, and NW Germany. With the backing of a successful and growing environmental technology company, you will be empowered to build, scale, and lead a multi-market logistics and sales operation—with full P&L ownership and the potential to create a €100m+ business.
This is a leadership role for an individual who thrives on building businesses from early stage (we are planning a 4x scale-up over 4 years) — not managing existing ones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and lead an ELT collection network down to garage level—owning logistics, and sales of collection services to the garage, potentially via acquisitions
- Recruit and lead a team of sales, logistics and operational specialists to capture market share of waste tyre collection and drive performance
- Take P&L performance responsibility for the existing businesses and grow them. Reporting into group leadership
- Work closely with the CEO, Deputy CEO, and CFO to align on strategic targets and deliver against aggressive growth goals
What We’re Looking For:
- A proven operator with full P&L responsibility in a logistics-heavy sector—ideally waste management or commercial fleet operations
- Experience managing complex cross-border logistics or waste infrastructure, including regulatory, sales and operational challenges
- Ability to lead a team in the field—not just from behind a desk—with a practical mindset and real-world grit
- A builder, not a caretaker—someone with entrepreneurial drive, commercial intuition and strong influencing skills
- A person who is rigorous and detailed by nature but is also urgent to build a business quickly. This role requires someone who is energetic and driven and prepared to put in the hours necessary.
