Position Overview
The Recruitment Specialist plays a key role in managing full‑cycle recruitment for healthcare and educational professionals across Columbus’s client base. This position centers on sourcing, assessing, and securing top‑tier talent while building strong, lasting relationships with both candidates and clients.
We’re seeking an experienced agency recruiter who is proactive, detail‑oriented, and highly relationship‑driven. The ideal candidate brings exceptional sourcing skills, creativity, and the ability to operate with a strong sense of independence.

Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for Columbus’s clients
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing methods to identify high-quality healthcare and educational professionals.
- Recruit for niche, hard-to-fill roles in healthcare and education.
- Screen, interview, and match candidates to client needs and contract requirements.
- Establish and maintain a strong talent pipeline aligned with current and future staffing needs.
- Utilize ATS, job boards, social platforms, and networking tools to attract diverse candidates.
Candidate Experience
- Provide a seamless and supportive candidate experience from outreach to onboarding.
- Review and discuss offer letters, benefits, and Columbus policies with candidates.
- Negotiate compensation packages, terms, and conditions of employment.
- Assist new hires with onboarding, including travel or relocation when applicable.
Client & Stakeholder Relationships
- Build and maintain strong, ongoing communication with clients to understand staffing needs and identify new opportunities.
- Serve as a consultative partner to hiring managers.
- Communicate market trends, recruitment challenges, and process changes to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with internal HR, credentialing, and operations teams.
Professional Development & Industry Engagement
- Attend conferences, workshops, and industry events to enhance recruitment capabilities.
- Support marketing initiatives and salary surveys as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s preferred or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years’ full life cycle recruitment experience in healthcare and/or educational settings.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship-building abilities.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong negotiating, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
