We are seeking an experienced Recruitment Consultant operating as an independent contractor to partner with our firm. This opportunity is designed for a self-directed recruiter who excels at sourcing, screening, and delivering high-quality talent while building their own revenue under an established brand.


This opportunity is best suited for experienced recruiters who are comfortable operating in a performance-based, commission-only environment.


This is a 100% commission-based independent contractor opportunity. The compensation range listed reflects estimated total annual earnings based on performance. There is no base salary.

Scope of Work

As an independent Recruitment Consultant aligned with J.Riley Recruitment, you will:

  • Develop and execute your own sourcing strategies to attract Military Veterans and Top Professionals within the AEC industry
  • Conduct candidate screening conversations to assess qualifications and cultural fit
  • Present qualified candidates for consideration on active searches
  • Coordinate and facilitate interview processes between candidates and clients
  • Maintain professional communication throughout the hiring lifecycle
  • Market open opportunities using channels and methods of your choosing
  • Conduct business in compliance with applicable employment laws and professional standards

Preferred Background

  • Experience in a recruitment or staffing agency environment
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Experience recruiting within Architecture, Engineering, or Construction
