About The Role
We are seeking a motivated Junior Recruiter to join our dynamic team on a 3-month contract basis, with the possibility of extension based on performance. This role offers an excellent entry point for individuals with strong organizational skills, a passion for technology, and an interest in developing a career in technical recruiting. As a Junior Recruiter, you will be primarily responsible for supporting candidate onboarding, coordinating interview processes, and assisting with recruiting operations. You will serve as the main point of contact for candidates throughout the Match Day process, ensuring a seamless experience from initial contact to onboarding. This position provides valuable exposure to the AI and tech recruiting landscape, offering opportunities to learn sourcing techniques, participate in industry events, and grow within a fast-paced, innovative environment. The role is hybrid, based in New York City, and involves working 40 hours per week, with competitive compensation ranging from $25 to $38 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications
- 1–3 years of professional experience in customer service, recruiting coordination, executive assistance, or other people-facing/organizational roles
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable communicating with candidates via phone and email
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Interest in AI, technology, and building a career in recruiting
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment
- Familiarity with scheduling, applicant tracking systems, or sourcing tools (preferred)
- Experience with AI tools in a professional setting (preferred)
- Act as the primary point of contact for candidates during the Match Day recruiting process
- Manage scheduling, communication, onboarding, and interview coordination between candidates and client companies
- Conduct phone screens to verify candidate details and address questions
- Assist candidates in polishing their profiles to enhance their presentation to potential employers
- Provide interview preparation and guidance to candidates to improve their chances of success
- Maintain organized and up-to-date candidate data within internal systems
- Support team operations by ensuring smooth execution of recruiting activities behind the scenes
- Learn sourcing and recruiting skills through training and mentorship from experienced team members
- Participate in and help promote Fonzi’s industry events, engaging with candidates and clients to encourage participation in Match Day
- Hands-on experience in technical recruiting within the AI and tech industry
