In this role, you will be instrumental in managing the costs and financial aspects of a variety of construction initiatives. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining the highest standards.

- Develop detailed cost estimates and budgets based on project specifications and requirements
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of tender submissions and provide recommendations for contractor selection
- Manage cost control processes, keeping track of project expenditures and providing timely financial reports
- Assist clients and project teams with value engineering exercises to optimize costs without compromising quality
- Prepare contract documents and handle negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers
- Facilitate monthly valuations and prepare payment applications for clients
- Monitor site progress and perform site visits to ensure compliance with budgetary targets
- Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring clear and open lines of communication
- Stay informed about ongoing changes in construction laws, regulations, and market conditions to provide insightful advice
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in quantity surveying or construction cost management
- Proficient in construction project management and cost control software
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal requirements
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with diverse teams
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Relevant professional certifications (like MRICS) are advantageous
- Willingness to travel to project sites as necessary
