QS4QS is expanding its team and is in search of skilled Quantity Surveyors who are passionate about delivering high-quality construction projects. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing the costs and financial aspects of a variety of construction initiatives. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining the highest standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed cost estimates and budgets based on project specifications and requirements
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of tender submissions and provide recommendations for contractor selection
  • Manage cost control processes, keeping track of project expenditures and providing timely financial reports
  • Assist clients and project teams with value engineering exercises to optimize costs without compromising quality
  • Prepare contract documents and handle negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Facilitate monthly valuations and prepare payment applications for clients
  • Monitor site progress and perform site visits to ensure compliance with budgetary targets
  • Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring clear and open lines of communication
  • Stay informed about ongoing changes in construction laws, regulations, and market conditions to provide insightful advice


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in quantity surveying or construction cost management
  • Proficient in construction project management and cost control software
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal requirements
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with diverse teams
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Relevant professional certifications (like MRICS) are advantageous
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as necessary
