About the Opportunity:
This role is responsible for the effective implementation of the ISO Quality Management system within the research area. The position acts as a subject matter expert on Quality Management System policies, processes, and procedures, supporting compliance and continuous improvement. The coordinator also serves as a liaison between regulatory offices, systems and procedures, and department partners, providing leadership with quality indicator data and recommendations.
Responsibilities:
• Implement and maintain the ISO Quality Management system
• Serve as subject matter expert on Quality Management System policies, processes, and procedures
• Develop knowledge of practice, business, and technology related to the area
• Liaise with Regulatory Office, Systems and Procedures, and department partners on quality management program
• Ensure compliance with department policies, processes, and procedures
• Provide leadership with key quality indicator data and improvement recommendations
• Serve as member on area committees as directed
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, chemistry, biological science, education, management, or health-related field
• Three years of related work experience
• Certification in laboratory science such as ASCP or other certifications (IRB professional, QMS certification) as applicable
• Knowledge of quality management system principles and regulatory agency requirements for the area
• Knowledge of research policies and procedures as applicable
• Strong project management, team building, facilitation, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple disciplines
• Strong oral and written communication and computer skills
• Ability to present and teach quality management system principles
• Highly organized, efficient, and able to work independently with strong decision-making skills
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet project timelines with minimal direction
• Ability to work under stressful conditions with a positive attitude
• Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (visa sponsorship not available)
