The Challenge
We're looking for a curious, proactive, and collaborative Quality Assurance Analyst to be a part of a Product Development team that builds and enhances online collaboration and insights management solutions for our life sciences clients. This position reports through the Engineering team and is so much more than a testing role—it's a chance to deeply understand our product, shape quality practices, and grow alongside the team.
What you can expect from the opportunity
- Work closely with developers, product owners, and designers to ensure quality is built into each phase of the development lifecycle
- Provide feedback to the design team on UI/UX of new features.
- Work with product owners to identify missing requirements, scenarios, or edge cases
- Engage engineering team members during technical research discussions and bug resolution
- Proactively explore the product to uncover bugs, risks, edge cases, usability issues, and value-add opportunities, and communicate said things clearly, constructively, and with ownership
- Perform testing activities including reviewing acceptance criteria, devising test strategy, executing test plans, providing clear and thorough test documentation, and managing the bug-fix process
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) with openness and honesty
- Offer subject matter expertise for tested features, QA best practices and conventions, and product knowledge
- Identify and implement utilities and methods to make testing more efficient
- Work with the scrum team to coordinate release planning activities, including production environment verification
Requirements
What you need to grow and succeed
- Experience - Minimum 3+ years of manual software testing experience is preferred, including system, exploratory, and regression testing. Tech support or other related experience is a plus and will be considered
- Knowledge - 3+ years in a technical role offering exposure to and familiarity with MVC architecture, Atlassian toolset, Scrum/Agile philosophies, and role specific industry standards and practices. Basic understanding of databases and APIs.
- Curiosity - A natural drive to understand how things work and why they matter to users
- Transparency - Comfortable sharing blockers, bugs, and honest feedback to improve team performance
- Vulnerability - Willing to ask questions, admit when something is unclear, and continuously seek growth
- Flexibility - Ability to adapt to evolving priorities, team dynamics, and product changes
- Initiative - Eager to dig into the product, propose improvements, and carve out a QA role that brings unique value
- Collaboration - A team player who communicates effectively and supports a feedback-driven culture
