CONTRACT QA Tester – Remote - Public Sector | £300 p/d Inside IR35
We’re recruiting an experienced QAT Analyst to support a large, government-run digital programme, focused on the Digitisation central financial services. This is an immediate-start contract role, offered for an initial three months, inside IR35, at a day rate of £300.
You’ll be joining a high-profile public sector programme where quality and assurance are critical. The role involves designing and executing functional, non-functional and accessibility test plans, carrying out exploratory testing using a risk-based approach, and ensuring services meet both business requirements and technical design standards. You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement by engaging with HMRC testing and quality communities.
Strong Scala experience is essential for this role and is a non-negotiable requirement. Previous experience working on HMRC programmes is highly desirable. You should be comfortable working in complex GDS environments and collaborating with multidisciplinary delivery teams.
From a technical perspective, you’ll need experience working on MacOS or Linux, along with strong automation testing capability. This includes hands-on experience with Selenium, Cucumber and Cypress. Familiarity with Jira and Confluence is expected
