Position Overview
The Department of Health is seeking an experienced Project Manager (PM3) – Digital Assets to support the Symbio Program, a province-wide initiative focused on implementing a unified Clinical Information System (CIS).
This role will lead digital health initiatives, focusing on integration, optimization, and alignment of key provincial digital assets with the broader CIS transformation. The successful candidate will manage end-to-end project delivery, including planning, execution, testing, and post-go-live support.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver digital health projects supporting CIS integration and transformation
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, schedules, dependencies, and resource allocation
- Oversee risk, issue, and change management (RAID) processes
- Manage project documentation including status reports, decision logs, and schedules
- Drive solution integration and testing cycles, ensuring quality and compliance
- Collaborate with government, vendors, and healthcare stakeholders
- Ensure alignment with governance frameworks and escalation processes
- Support clinical workflow redesign and improved health data access
- Maintain strong stakeholder engagement across all levels
M1. Education
- Post-secondary education in Health Informatics, IT, Information Management, Public/Business Administration, OR
- University degree in Business Administration, Healthcare, or Information Technology, OR equivalent combination
- Minimum 5+ years as a Project Manager in a digital health environment within Canadian healthcare
- Experience leading large-scale, multi-million-dollar projects
- Minimum 5+ years developing and managing:
- Project plans & schedules
- Risk & issue tracking
- Status reporting
- Decision logs
- Minimum 7+ years of experience within Canadian healthcare systems
- Available to start on or around May 18, 2026
- Vendors may submit a maximum of 2 candidates per requirement
S1. Digital Health Project Delivery (5+ Years)
- Experience managing projects in acute healthcare settings
- Strong capability in building detailed project plans, dependencies, and schedules
- Experience leading solution integration initiatives and testing cycles
- Proven ability to manage relationships with vendors, government bodies, and hospital stakeholders
- Hands-on experience with healthcare systems integration
- Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, or similar standards
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work independently and collaborate across teams
- Experience working within New Brunswick healthcare systems (RHAs preferred)
- Fluent in English and French (written and verbal)
- Proficiency in:
- Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams)
- Zoom
- Atlassian JIRA
- One or more: PMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2, or equivalent
- Maintain and manage all project management artifacts (plans, RAID logs, reports)
- Ensure adherence to governance and documentation standards
- Lead risk mitigation and issue resolution strategies
- Support project teams through milestones and delivery phases
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
- Ensure proper documentation archiving and compliance
- Occasional after-hours/weekend work may be required (pre-approved)
- Travel to New Brunswick once per month (expenses reimbursed as per policy)
- Candidate must sign NDA and complete privacy training prior to onboarding
- Proven delivery of complex digital health projects
- Strong integration and stakeholder management capabilities
- Ability to operate in a large-scale transformation program
- Minimum 70% score in technical evaluation and interview
