What You'll Do
As a Project Delivery Manager, you will focus on the execution and operational delivery of strategic innovation projects and programmes. You will manage our project portfolio and coordinate cross-functional teams, ensure compliance and risk management, and maintain consistent communication with stakeholders.
Your role will be crucial in translating strategy into successful project outcomes, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, while maintaining high standards of quality and impact.
You'll own and oversee our portfolio of innovation initiatives and projects across European municipalities, ensuring delivery quality, financial sanity, and a steady flow of product-relevant insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of multiple innovation and sustainability projects.
- Manage cross-functional teams, including consultants, technical experts, and client-side staff.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Monitor project performance, manage risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure projects comply with regulatory frameworks, funding requirements, and organisational standards.
- Maintain regular communication and reporting to clients and internal leadership.
- Support the transition from strategy to implementation, translating innovation plans into actionable deliverables.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in delivery processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Collaborate closely with leadership on strategic decisions: which projects to take on, where to expand, and how consulting feeds product development.
- Build the function over time. Start hands-on, then shape how the project organization grows as we scale into new markets.
What Will Make You Successful
- 5+ years of experience managing complex projects, preferably in the public sector / consultancy.
- Proven track record in project delivery, managing timelines, budgets, and teams effectively.
- Strong project and programme management skills.
- At least one of these two: deep familiarity with the public sector (government, municipalities, EU institutions) OR genuine passion for digitalization and technology. Having both is ideal of course.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and lead teams in fast-paced, complex environments.
- Business acumen. You think about profitability, not just delivery. You understand that every project needs to earn its keep.
- Entrepreneurial drive. You see opportunities, you fix problems without being asked, and you're comfortable with ambiguity.
- Languages: Fluent in English (our working language) and Dutch.

- Prince2, IPMA or Agile certifications
- Familiarity with municipal IT landscapes and application portfolios
- A background that blends consulting with product or tech environments
- Interest in scaling a project organization from small to mid-size
