Project Architectural Designer
We are a small, design-focused residential architecture studio seeking a Project Architectural Designer to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role working directly with the Principal across all phases of a project, from early concept through construction.
The position is ideal for someone who enjoys being deeply involved in the design process, takes ownership of their work, and is comfortable balancing multiple projects in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Principal to develop design concepts and detailed project drawings
- Translate design intent into clear, well-coordinated documentation in Revit and/or CAD
- Assist in guiding and reviewing the work of junior staff as the team grows
- Maintain and organize project files, including drawing sets and internal documentation
- Help establish and maintain Revit and CAD standards and project templates
- Communicate drawing progress and coordinate with the Principal as needed
- Review submittals for accuracy and coordinate with the Principal prior to submission to the GC/builder
- Perform site visits during construction to ensure work is progressing in alignment with the design intent and overall project schedule
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in residential architecture, with strong preference for high-end residential work
- Licensure a plus
- Strong proficiency in CAD
- Working knowledge of Revit and experience with visualization tools such as Enscape, Lumion and SketchUp also a plus
- Comfortable taking initiative and working with minimal oversight
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Clear and professional communicator who works well within a small team
- Thoughtful, flexible, and detail-oriented, with a good sense of humor
- Salary range: $80,000 – $100,000, commensurate with experience
