The ideal candidate brings experience working in a biotech or life sciences setting, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Product Lifecycle Management & Operational Execution
  • Lead the coordination of product launches, updates, and retirements, ensuring alignment across PM, R&D, Production, Quality, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success.
  • Own and maintain internal systems and documentation for product specs, versions, pricing, and supply readiness.
  • Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks or risks that impact product delivery or customer experience.
  • Analytics & Business Prioritization
  • Develop and manage dashboards and reports to track product performance, customer usage, margin trends, and market activity.
  • Use quantitative and qualitative data to support portfolio decisions, business cases, and roadmap prioritization.
  • Partner with other product managers and leadership to evaluate return on investment, resource allocation, and product expansion opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Serve as a key point of contact between Product Management and internal teams, including R&D, Production, Sales, and Customer Success.
  • Drive collaboration on complex initiatives such as product readiness, process improvements, and cross-team deliverables.
  • Proactively identify and address internal knowledge gaps by coordinating training sessions and maintaining reference materials.
  • Sales & Marketing Support
  • Ensure commercial teams have accurate, up-to-date information and tools for positioning, selling, and supporting the product portfolio.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on content development, messaging alignment, and campaign support for product launches or updates.
  • Support customer and distributor inquiries related to product specs, configurations, or ordering details.
  • Market Insights & Strategic Input
  • Conduct and synthesize market research, competitive benchmarking, and customer feedback to inform roadmap direction and operational needs.
  • Help validate new product and service ideas by evaluating feasibility, operational impact, and strategic alignment.
  • Participate in Voice of Customer efforts, user interviews, and early-access evaluations to gather actionable input.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or related field (e.g., Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry).
  • 3–6 years of experience in biotech, life sciences, diagnostics, or a related industry, ideally with product management, operations, or analytical focus.
  • Proven ability to analyze and interpret data to drive strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with a track record of managing cross-functional initiatives.
  • Clear, confident communication skills and ability to tailor messaging to different technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred:

  • Experience with RUO product lines, biotech services, or lab-based workflows.
  • Familiarity with ERP, PLM, and CRM tools (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce, Jira, Monday.com, Tableau).
  • Exposure to SDS or other regulated product documentation and processes.
  • Understanding of commercialization strategies and customer needs in academic or biotech research environments.
