About TryHackMe and NoScope

TryHackMe is the fastest-growing cybersecurity training platform in the world, with over 6 million learners globally. We help people learn cybersecurity hands-on, through practical, gamified experiences.

NoScope is our next big bet: an AI-powered pentesting tool, built as a standalone product with startup-level ambition. It’s early, fast-moving, and deliberately small-team. This role sits inside TryHackMe, but operates with the intensity, ownership, and autonomy of a startup.

While this role is fully dedicated to NoScope day-to-day, you’ll still be part of TryHackMe’s core Product Design team. You’ll work alongside other experienced designers, share standards and practices, and have opportunities over time to contribute to core TryHackMe product initiatives as NoScope evolves.

As part of the NoScope team, you’ll work directly with Ben (TryHackMe co-founder), shaping the product from first principles - not just how it looks, but how it works, how it’s positioned, and how users experience it end-to-end.

The Role

This is not a typical product designer role. You’ll be the end-to-end design owner for NoScope - product, brand, marketing, and discovery - helping take NoScope from idea to a real, loved product in the hands of users.

At times, this will require high intensity, fast iteration, and flexibility around working hours - especially around major milestones. In return, you’ll get unusual ownership, influence, and learning.

On any given week, you might:

Product & UX

  • Design core product experiences for an AI-driven pentesting tool used by security professionals

  • Turn rough ideas into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs at speed

  • Work closely with engineers to ship quickly, iterate often, and refine based on real usage

  • Make smart trade-offs between speed, quality, and long-term design direction

Discovery & Research

  • Speak directly to users (security engineers, pentesters, teams) to deeply understand workflows and pain points

  • Help shape product direction through customer discovery, usability testing, and feedback loops

  • Sense-check ideas early and often before we over-build

Brand, Marketing & Creative

  • Design landing pages, onboarding flows, and marketing assets

  • Help define NoScope’s visual identity and tone from the ground up

  • Support demos, design creative assets, and anything else needed to get the product into users’ hands

Collaboration

  • Work extremely closely with Ben, acting as a thought partner - not just a delivery function

  • Collaborate with engineers, product, and other stakeholders while keeping design ownership clear

  • Bring clarity to ambiguity and momentum to early-stage chaos

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone ambitious, resilient, and excited by building something new.

You likely:

  • Have 3+ years experience as a Product / UX / UI Designer

  • Are highly comfortable in Figma, from lo-fi exploration to polished execution

  • Have worked closely with engineers and understand how products actually get built

  • Enjoy ambiguity and don’t need perfect briefs to get started

  • Can think holistically - product, UX, brand, and business - not just screens

  • Communicate clearly in writing, visuals, and conversation

  • Are comfortable speaking directly with users and leading discovery work

  • Care deeply about craft, but also know when to move fast

Most importantly:

You want to help build something meaningful, not just work on tickets from a backlog.

This Role Is a Great Fit If…
  • You want a founding-designer-style role

  • You enjoy intensity, ownership, and seeing your work ship quickly

  • You’re excited by cybersecurity, developer tools, or complex technical products

  • You want to work directly with a founder and shape product direction, not just execution

This Role Is Probably Not a Fit If…
  • You’re looking for strictly defined scope and predictable pacing

  • You prefer focusing only on UI, without involvement in discovery, go to market, product vision

  • You want a classic 9-5 with minimal variance week to week
