This is a full-time on-site role located in Richmond, VA, for a Procurement Specialist. The Procurement Specialist will oversee and manage all procurement activities, including preparing and processing purchase orders, evaluating suppliers, and negotiating contracts to secure the best terms. Additional tasks include analyzing procurement data to ensure cost-effectiveness, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with organizational procurement policies and procedures.
- Proficiency in processing Purchase Orders and monitoring procurement processes
- Experience in Supplier Evaluation to assess and manage vendor performance and relationships
- Strong Contract Negotiation skills to achieve optimal terms and agreements
- Excellent Analytical Skills to assess data, trends, and procurement outcomes
- Broad knowledge and expertise in Procurement practices and principles
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Familiarity with procurement software is a plus
