Role Overview
Do you want to be a part of reshaping the travel ecosystem? We're looking for a highly motivated Principal Data Analyst to own the analytics layer across our Connectivity, Payments and Services, Smart Distribution products. This role will work alongside product, engineering, finance and leadership to deliver analytics that surface critical insights to help our partners to connect easily, manage their operational overhead and capture more demand more profitably. This role is pivotal to achieving our goal to help hoteliers be part of the future of travel and deliver true value.

Main Responsibilities
Deep Analysis and Insight Development
- Identify and investigate anomalies, patterns, hidden trends or inefficiencies in product and partner data (e.g. usage, flows, delays, engagement), diving deep to uncover root causes, quantify impact, and surface actionable insights.
- Translate low-level metrics and complex, messy data into clear business implications — sizing problems or opportunities, prioritizing based on relative impact, and guiding decisions that helps teams to move key outcomes.
- Act as the analytics thought partner for product and business leads.
- Shape product roadmaps by bringing data to strategic planning conversations.
- Recommend KPIs and success metrics aligned with broader company objectives.
- Create and maintain robust dashboards, models, and reporting systems using tools like SQL, dbt, Looker/Mode/Tableau, and Python/R as needed.
- Help define and enforce clean data structures and tracking practices across teams.
- Help product managers make smarter tradeoffs, identify which problems are worth solving, and validate their hypotheses.
- Support leadership in evaluating strategic bets and resource allocation through rigorous quantitative analysis.
- Work across product, engineering, finance, operations, and AI teams to create a single source of truth for decision-making.
- Mentor more junior analysts or data-savvy product managers.
- 7-10+ years in analytics or data science roles, ideally in product-led B2B SaaS or platform businesses.
- Proven ability to extract signal from noisy data across user journeys, funnel metrics, product telemetry, financial performance, and more.
- Advanced SQL skills a must; experience with Python, R, or similar for deep dives or modeling is a strong plus.
- Experience with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Mode, etc.) and data modeling (dbt preferred).
- Comfortable navigating modern data stacks and data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake).
- Experience working with AI and LLMs is a plus.
- Deep understanding of product development processes and how data can shape product strategy and prioritization.
- Strong business judgment; able to connect data insights to real-world impact.
- Proven experience defining and tracking success metrics for product features, launches, and experiments.
- High autonomy and ownership – you don't wait for problems to be assigned.
- Excellent communication – can synthesize complex findings into simple, compelling narratives.
- Proactive, curious, and collaborative – you bring clarity to ambiguity.
