We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Pre-Sales Engineer to join the company's dynamic local team in the Nordics.
As a Solar Pre-Sales Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving business growth by providing technical expertise and support to our sales team. What you responsibilities will be:
Technical Sales Support
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and develop solar energy solutions that meet their needs
- Prepare and deliver compelling technical product presentations and solutions proposals to prospective customers (B2B installation partners), highlighting the benefits and value of company's solar solutions
- Prepare and conduct technical and process training to support internal employee knowledge
- Address customer inquiries and provide expert guidance on product offering, technical issues, system performance, installation requirements, and financial benefits of products throughout sales and project stages
- Assist in the development of accurate and competitive project quotations and cost estimates
- Maintain and develop technical product and training materials (multimedia)
Solution Design and Customization:
- Work closely with customers (installers) to assess their specific solar energy requirements and design customized solutions
- Select appropriate solar PV components to ensure optimal system performance.
- Development of the Nordic market requirements for new products, features, and regulations
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing ongoing technical support and guidance throughout the sales process
- Conduct technical discussions and presentations to address customer concerns, explain system functionality, and showcase the benefits of our solar solutions
- Collaborate with sales and account management teams to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional solar products and services
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies to effectively communicate market insights to customers
What skills & requirements we need:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, renewable energy, electronics or telecommunications or a related field. A master's degree is a plus
- Direct technical training, electrical engineering understanding, or experience in the field of electrical/ Solar PV installations
- Proven experience in a technical pre-sales or sales engineering roles
- Strong knowledge of solar PV technology; generally a strong technical aptitude
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences effectively
- Ability to analyse customer requirements and design customized solar solutions
- Proficiency in using solar design/ simulation software and tools (PV Syst, PV Sol) an advantage
- Business level language proficiency in English and Swedish, Finnish advantageous
- Strong customer focus and ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as required. (Up to 40% of time)
