Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Mortgage Post Closer to join our team. The Post Closer will be responsible for reviewing and verifying loan documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and completing the final steps in the mortgage loan process. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that all loan files are accurately and completely closed, deliver to final packages to investors, government loan insuring and review / clear investor conditions for purchase.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Review closed loan files for accuracy and completeness, ensuring all documents are properly signed, notarized, and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Verify investor loan conditions have been satisfied.
  • Handle insuring for FHA / VA / USDA loans
  • Prepare final loan documents and ensure they are delivered to the appropriate parties (e.g., investors, insurers, or title companies).
  • Communicate with internal teams, such as underwriting and funding, to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to the loan file.
  • Ensure all post-closing documents are properly filed and stored in the system for easy retrieval and compliance audits.
  • Coordinate the funding process, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement of loan funds.
  • Monitor and ensure timely submission of all necessary documents to investors, title companies, or other third parties.
  • Resolve any issues with loan documents and escalate concerns as needed to management or other departments.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and data integrity throughout the post-closing process.
  • Assist in audits and assist in any required corrections or updates to loan files as part of internal or external reviews.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in mortgage post-closing, loan processing, underwriting or a related field.
  • Experience with FHA / VA / USDA insuring
  • Non-QM experience a plus
  • Strong understanding of mortgage loan documentation, guidelines and regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in loan files.
  • Proficient in mortgage software, loan origination systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
