About John B Stapleton
John B Stapleton is the co-founder of New Covent Garden Soup and an experienced entrepreneur, mentor, investor and advisor. Over the past 30 years, he has co-founded and scaled category-leading consumer brands, including helping pioneer the fresh soup category with New Covent Garden Soup Company and launching the toddler food category with Little Dish.
Today, John works with founders, start-ups and scale-ups, helping them grow faster, avoid costly mistakes and build resilient, purpose-driven businesses. He also supports entrepreneurial businesses as an angel investor, NED. John is founder-member of an Irish VC specialising in start up and scale-up businesses and a London-based accelerator supporting emerging food and drink brands.
John is proactively building a personal brand around entrepreneurship, leadership, resilience and thriving through uncertainty, with a focus on helping founders navigate the realities of building, scaling and exiting their business.

John currently has two studio shoot days and one on-location shoot day per month to create content, so this role is about helping shape, plan and maximise that output across all channels.
Role overview
We’re looking for a Personal Branding & Social Media Strategist & Manager to oversee the planning, publishing and growth of John B Stapleton’s personal brand.
This person will help turn John’s filmed content, ideas and expertise into a clear and consistent content strategy across social platforms, newsletter and wider digital channels. The role combines strategic content planning, copywriting, publishing, community management, paid media oversight, performance tracking and launch support across John’s different content formats.
Key responsibilities
- Build and manage the monthly and weekly content plan around John’s studio days, location shoots and existing content pipeline
- Shape content strategy across John’s key content pillars, including thriving with uncertainty, entrepreneurship, leadership, resilience, branding, investment, business growth & exit
- Manage publishing across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube
- Write captions, post copy, descriptions, titles and supporting copy in John’s tone of voice
- Manage community engagement, including replies to comments and direct messages
- Oversee the rollout and promotion of the podcast, short-form videos, courses and mini-doc
- Prepare and manage LinkedIn content for approval
- Compile and publish John’s Newsletter via Beehiiv
- Monitor and manage paid ads across TikTok, Meta and YouTube
- Track content performance, audience growth and engagement, with regular reporting and recommendations
- Contribute to what content strategy - what content should be pushed organically and what should be supported with paid spend
- Create and maintain clear workflows, approval systems and simple automations where useful
- Leverage AI resources where appropriate
- Support the wider growth of John’s personal brand with new ideas, campaign thinking and content opportunities
- Edit and oversee the production of both long-form and short-form video content for social platforms, podcasts and wider digital distribution
Ideal candidate
- Experience managing a founder, CEO or personal brand
- Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and YouTube
- Excellent copywriting skills and ability to write in someone else’s voice
- Strong strategic instinct alongside day-to-day execution
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple content streams at once
- Comfortable working across social content, podcasts, courses, newsletters and launch campaigns
- Experience with Beehiiv, paid social and content performance reporting is a plus
- Strong interest in entrepreneurship, business storytelling and founder-led brands
