MissionHires is seeking a People Services Director for a respected community-based acute care hospital in northeastern Nevada. Reporting to the CEO, this senior leader will serve as a strategic advisor to the executive team and own end-to-end HR operations for a 200+ employee workforce. The Director will lead workforce strategy, employee engagement, labor relations, organizational development, compliance, and HR analytics while managing one HR team member. Travel up to 20% required.
How You'll Contribute
- Lead all HR operations: employee relations, workforce planning, recruitment, retention, performance management, and compliance
- Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on workforce strategy and organizational effectiveness
- Design and execute retention and engagement initiatives to reduce turnover and strengthen culture
- Oversee union relationships, lead labor negotiations, and foster collaborative labor–management partnerships
- Monitor, analyze, and report workforce metrics to identify trends and drive data-informed decisions
- Develop and manage HR departmental budget with strong fiscal stewardship
- Coordinate and ensure readiness for internal and external HR audits
- Promote a culture of professional development, accountability, inclusion, and employee well-being
- Ensure adherence to applicable employment laws, regulations, and hospital policies
- Coach leaders on performance, change management, and conflict resolution

- Bachelor’s degree (required)
- Minimum 7 years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience (required)
- Demonstrated strength in employee relations and conflict resolution (required)
- Proven experience in strategic HR leadership and workforce planning (required)
- Expertise in HR compliance and regulatory frameworks (required)
- Proficiency with HR metrics and data-driven decision making (required)
- HR certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP (preferred)
- Prior healthcare industry experience (preferred)
- Union/labor relations and negotiation experience (preferred)
- Ability to travel up to 20%
