About the Role

The Payroll Specialist role is critical in ensuring accurate payroll setup and smooth

implementation of health and wellness plans for clients. The ideal candidate will have strong

organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering

exceptional client service.


Key responsibilities include configuring deduction and reimbursement codes within client payroll systems to maintain compliance and accuracy, and creating custom payroll reports that support client-specific operational needs. The role also involves managing reporting workflows by processing client reports and generating employee eligibility files for payroll execution.


You will support implementation activities for a variety of key clients, partnering with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely integration. This includes validating payroll setup and helping prevent processing issues.


Client engagement is central to the role. You will attend payroll meetings to review processes, address questions, and participate in first live payroll runs to ensure smooth execution. Ongoing support includes troubleshooting payroll concerns and serving as a trusted operational resource.


Additional responsibilities may include participating in Welcome Calls with new clients and completing other tasks that support payroll operations and onboarding.


Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of payroll processing or payroll system administration experience
  • Knowledge of 3+ payroll systems is required
  • Familiarity with health and wellness plan implementation is a plus
  • Machine, Tools, and Equipment: Processors, lasers, computers, telephones, copiers, and fax machines.
