Job Overview

  • Process and manage employee payroll accurately and on schedule
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Maintain payroll records and support payroll-related reporting and audits


Key Responsibilities

  • Process biweekly or monthly payroll for employees and contractors
  • Calculate wages, bonuses, commissions, deductions, and reimbursements
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee compensation data
  • Coordinate with HR and finance teams to update employee information
  • Manage payroll taxes, garnishments, benefits deductions, and adjustments
  • Generate payroll reports and provide insights to management
  • Resolve employee payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies
  • Assist with year end payroll processes, including W 2 and tax reporting


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2 to 5 years of payroll processing experience
  • Strong knowledge of US payroll regulations and tax compliance
  • Experience with payroll software such as ADP, Paychex, or Workday
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Payroll Professional CPP certification
  • Experience handling multi-state payroll processing
  • Familiarity with HRIS and accounting systems
  • Experience working with remote or distributed teams
