Job title: Payroll Processor

Systems: Workday Payroll (US and Canada) [must have], Activpayroll (international), Excel

Job Type: 3-month contract with possibility of extension


Job Description:

Duties:

  • Manage payroll processing for 1,500 US employees, located throughout the US utilizing Workday payroll.
  • Process international payrolls in EMEA, APAC, Australia and Canada.
  • 16 monthly international payrolls, located throughout EMEA and APAC regions utilizing international payroll provider Actvipayroll.
  • Review integrations in and out of Workday, provide variable input, and review payrolls as they are returned from Activpayroll for approval
  • Effectively serve as the main contact for all EMEA/APAC payroll related matters and provide prompt, friendly, and efficient customer service to employees, answering all queries and resolving pay matters.
  • Work closely with Activpayroll and internal business partners
  • Manage payroll in a high growth distributed workforce
  • Audit and review US semi-monthly payroll processes
  • Manage equity processing across countries
  • Manage US third party fulfillment vendor to ensure tax compliance and funds reconciliation
  • Oversee the maintenance of a global payroll calendar and ensure all compliance related deliverables are completed on time, such as the 401K and Workers Compensation audits
  • Execute special projects cross functionally that support the growth of the business, such as Workday enhancements, system integrations, and international growth
  • Collaborate with key business partners partners such as People Operations, Stock Administration, and Accounting to ensure the payroll operation serves their needs and vice versa
  • Effectively serve as the main contact for all payroll related matters and provide prompt, friendly, and efficient customer service to employees who have questions regarding their pay, deductions, or the payroll process


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in payroll
  • 7-10+ years experience in progressive payroll positions in high-growth, public and multinational companies
  • Proficient with Workday Payroll, system savvy
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionality
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion as it relates to confidential and sensitive company and employee data
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proactively leads process improvements and takes the initiative to solve problems
