We're seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join a leading non-profit organization dedicated to making a positive impact in the community. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth financial operations and supporting a workforce of approximately 400 dedicated employees.


The Role

• Accurately process payroll on time for all employees

• Perform billing, reconciliations, and monthly journal entries related to payroll and accounting

• Provide support to other departments for payroll-related inquiries and tasks

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll regulations and best practices

• Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting

• Utilize UKG Pro/Workforce Management or similar payroll software for efficient management


What You'll Need

• Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent demonstrable experience

• Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience (5 years if experience is substituting for education)

• Proficiency in accounting, spreadsheet, and word processing software

• Strong understanding of payroll practices and bookkeeping

• Excellent communication skills and email etiquette

• Ability to carry out routine responsibilities independently with a helpful and courteous attitude
