Roles And Responsibilities
- Outreach to patients using a variety of technical platforms, including:
- Text messages, in compliance with TCPA and HIPAA
- Creating and sending group messages
- Running regular and ad hoc reports
- Updating patient message settings
- Phone calls
- Script usage
- Language line
- Telephone Encounters in the electronic medical record
- Navigating and maintaining multiple shared Telephone Encounter buckets
- Portal Support which includes outreach to patients, setup, enabling access and routin messages
- Schedule and confirm appointments with patients
- Update patient pharmacy information in electronic medical record
- Fax patient information from electronic medical record
- Update/correct patient health records in both the patient management system and electronic medical record
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as necessary
- Minimum of Associates Degree or Medical Assistant Certificate with one year experience, required
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
- Computer literacy and skill in the use of computers and related software applications, required
- Strong customer/patient service experience
- Experience with Centricity, eClinicalWorks, and similar patient engagement platforms preferred
- Remote workers must live and work in the United States* (*Territories Excluded)
- Remote workers must have access to reliable high-speed Internet
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
- This position must virtually interface with patients, family members, and clinicians
- Personal Health information is kept in strict confidence. Confidentiality of patient and business information is a requirement. Full access to patient medical records and encounter data. Confidentiality must be maintained according to CHC policies.
- Sustained periods of sitting at a computer workstation, including frequent use of a keyboard, mouse, and headset. This position requires the ability to view a computer screen for extended periods and to communicate effectively via phone and virtual platforms. Minimal physical exertion is required.
