2. About the Opportunity:
The Patient Care Coordinatorplays a crucial role in supporting physicians by managing the administrative and operational aspects of patient care. This remote position ensures a seamless and responsive patient experience by coordinating logistics, communications, and clinical follow-through. By removing barriers and anticipating needs, the coordinator enables clinicians to focus fully on clinical decisions and patient relationships. The role requires a blend of hospitality-level service with healthcare precision, directly contributing to the quality and impact of patient care within the organization.
3. Responsibilities:
• Provide attentive, responsive communication to patients, ensuring they feel informed and supported
• Manage scheduling for patient visits, tests, and physician appointments with precision
• Proactively identify and resolve potential issues before they arise
• Detect and correct errors in documentation, scheduling, or processes quietly and efficiently
• Develop organizational systems to help physicians prioritize and manage responsibilities
• Build and maintain relationships with consultants and referral sources to ensure smooth collaboration
• Ensure accurate processing of prescriptions, lab orders, test tracking, and prior authorizations
• Identify workflow improvements and propose solutions to enhance patient coordination
• Maintain detailed and up-to-date patient records
4. Requirements:
• Experience in healthcare coordination, patient services, or a related field
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage complex scheduling and logistics
• Excellent communication skills with a service-oriented mindset
