Accountabilities
- Develop and execute a public sector partnership strategy in Europe, engaging governmental and multilateral funders to support organizational goals.
- Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with qualified funders, including policy-level interventions and influence activities.
- Partner with internal legal and operational teams to ensure alignment with government policies, regulations, and evolving geopolitical contexts.
- Lead preparation of funder-facing proposals, presentations, and cultivation strategies to secure new agreements and funding opportunities.
- Organize and participate in funder convenings and networking events to strengthen relationships and expand the organization’s influence.
- Track partnership progress, financial projections, and relationship status using CRM tools such as Salesforce.
- Collaborate with program teams to maintain a comprehensive understanding of global initiatives and ensure seamless integration of partnership strategies with program objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years’ experience building international partnerships and achieving revenue objectives with major public sector funders (e.g., EU, IKI, GEF, GCF).
- 5+ years’ experience in energy transition topics such as industrial decarbonization, energy efficiency, or grid modernization.
- Proven track record securing multi-figure agreements and implementing successful partnership strategies.
- Experience working with senior executives and global organizations in philanthropy or public-private partnerships.
- Strong project management, initiative, and follow-through skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across diverse cultural and organizational contexts.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
- Knowledge of funding dynamics and decision-making processes of European public agencies.
- Experience translating technical program objectives into programmatic funding packages.
