Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

As an Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting financial operations across multiple entities. This position requires solid experience in accounting processes, particularly general ledger (G/L) reconciliations and variance analysis, along with having a proactive approach to handling diverse accounting responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process A/P vendor invoice entries & entering cash receipts
  • Ensure that proper documentation and approval before processing A/P invoices.
  • Prepare semi-monthly payroll.
  • Prepare A/R billing and unbilled reconciliation
  • Perform Balance Sheet accounts reconciliation.
  • Perform G/L account variance analysis.
  • Prepare with month-end financial closing
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies by collecting and analyzing data
  • Perform other financial tasks associated with this position per direction of manager.

Qualifications To Be Successful In The Role

  • Must hold a bachelor’s degree in accountancy
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Solid Excel skills
  • Possesses analytical thinking skills and must have keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, flexible, and be able to meet deadline
  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
