Our mission is to create a safe space for business families to learn, share, and inspire each other, ensuring their long-term success and sustainability.

Role Purpose & Objectives

FBN is seeking a dynamic, purpose-driven NxG Community Manager to connect, empower, and inspire the next generation of family business leaders worldwide.

This role combines community building, strategic coordination, and program innovation to strengthen the voice of NxGs in shaping the future of family enterprise and impact.

The purpose of the NxG Community Manager is to take NxG members to places they never thought they would go - intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually - by creating experiences that spark growth, connection, and a sense of purpose.

Key Responsibilities

1. Community Development & Engagement

· Build a thriving, connected NxG global community through regular engagement and inclusive programming.

· Support and empower volunteer leaders (Co-Chairs of the NxG Community, the NxG Leadership Team, and local NxG chapters) to bring initiatives to life around the world.

· Serve as the main liaison for FBN Member Associations, fostering collaboration and sharing best practices in community building.

· Design and lead flagship gatherings such as the NxG Leaders Retreat and NxG Leadership Team meetings.

· Curate and co-create content with partners and thought leaders to bring fresh perspectives to the community.

· Collaborate with FBN’s Communications team to amplify NxG activities across digital platforms.

2. Strategy & Partnerships

· Collaborate with the Director of Communities to align NxG goals with FBN’s global strategy and define multi-year priorities.

· Manage the NxG budget and ensure resources are allocated effectively.

· Contribute to the design of a fundraising strategy for NxG projects and support donor engagement.

· Maintain relationships with external partners, ensuring shared impact and mutual value.

3. Programs & Events

· Support the creation of new learning pathways through the NxG Journey - a roadmap guiding members across stages of life, business, and FBN involvement.

· Partner with the NxG Academic Expert on content, facilitation, and program design for global events (e.g. NxG Summit, FBN Global Summit).

· Design and implement impactful programs that educate, activate, and connect NxG members.

· Manage the NxG Award process & delivery in coordination with the NxG Academic Expert and with the Award partner(s).

· Manage onsite and online community engagement at key events, mobilising volunteers and ambassadors.

· Oversee and implement the NxG online strategy and grow the NxG Hub as a central space for connection, collaboration, and learning.

4. Monitoring, Learning & Growth

· Track progress on NxG goals, participation, and engagement metrics.

· Gather feedback and insights to improve community experiences and strengthen long-term engagement.

· Support storytelling, reporting, and impact communication to showcase community achievements.

Required Profile

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Community Management, or related fields.

· 5–7 years of experience in community management, program coordination, or member engagement.

· Experience working with family businesses or purpose-driven networks preferred.

· Experience managing volunteers or international communities is a plus.

· Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages are an asset.
