This role involves crafting an original soundscape for a heartfelt student short film centered on two dogs forming an unlikely friendship in a local pound. The composer will be responsible for both the musical score and sound effects, helping to bring the emotional journey of the characters to life. The project is in its early planning and research phase, and the work will be completed remotely. The final sound composition, excluding credits, is required by April 20th.

Deliverables

• Compose and produce a complete musical score for the short film, excluding credits
• Design and integrate sound effects that enhance the narrative and emotional tone
• Collaborate with the film team to ensure the audio aligns with the director’s vision
• Deliver all audio files in the required format by the specified deadline
  
  

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in music composition and sound design, preferably for film or animation
• Proficiency with digital audio workstations (DAWs) and sound editing software
• Ability to create engaging, emotive music and soundscapes that support storytelling
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
• Availability to meet the project deadline of April 20th
