Qualifications
- A master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with emphasis on foundational large language models (LLMs), agentic AI, reinforcement learning, AI planning, or natural language processing.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience developing large-scale, high-impact AI solutions, with recent experience in building agent-based systems or multi-agent collaboration paradigms.
- Proficiency in developing dialogue systems capable of sustaining long conversations, multi-step reasoning, and context-rich decision-making.
- Experience deploying and scaling AI services that handle hundreds of millions of daily interactions with high availability, low latency, and fault tolerance.
- Strong understanding of frameworks such as AgentSDK, LangChain, and LangGraph for designing multi-agent systems.
- Familiarity with advanced GenAI models, including reasoning models and real-time voice APIs.
- Proven track record of publishing impactful research in top AI/ML venues is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to mentor engineering teams.
- Design, prototype, and develop multi-agent systems capable of autonomous and context-aware interactions using frameworks like AgentSDK, LangChain, and LangGraph.
- Leverage advanced generative AI models, including reasoning and voice APIs, to create agentic prototypes and transition them into scalable, product-level skills for deployment.
- Adopt a build, learn, and pivot mentality, maintaining high standards for shipping reliable and innovative solutions into production.
- Mentor and guide engineers on the use of appropriate technologies for agentic AI, fostering a culture of innovation, responsibility, and continuous learning.
- Translate complex research findings and system designs into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences, including executive leadership.
- Stay abreast of emerging paradigms in agentic AI, driving product innovation and ensuring Zillow remains at the cutting edge of technology.
- Lead applied science projects, coordinating timelines, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring alignment across teams.
